Cummins, Chrysler Sign Engine Extension

Cummins Inc. said Wednesday it signed a multiyear extension with Chrysler LLC to continue supplying the 6.7-liter diesel engine for use in Ram heavy-duty pickup trucks and chassis cabs.

A spokeswoman for Cummins said the company did not disclose the length or terms of the contract.

Cummins has produced more than 1.7 million Turbo Diesel engines for the Dodge Ram trucks since 1989.
